But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. - Ezekiel 33:6
Watchmen On The Wall Weekly is our look at what’s happening in the world, and what we, as Watchmen on the Wall, are responsible to make people aware of.
Each week, we dig deeper into the stories that matter most and connect the dots with scripture.
If you know others who have been called to be Watchmen, please let them know about this newsletter and how they can join us.

“AI gods & ChatGPT Religions” - MAN’S FULFILLMENT OF THE SIN OF IDOLATRY
Words matter!!
Which is why we were careful to spell ‘god’ with a small ‘g’ in the headline above.
We’ve seen rapid growth in the areas of technology, to the point that we now see some of that technology beginning to try and think for itself.
And that has led to headlines like this one:
We’re told about this in scripture, in a very clear way, in Exodus 20:3:
Thou shalt have none other gods before me.
That’s pretty straightforward right?
But, mans desire to be God is strong… and that shouldn’t surprise you, if you understand that the earth is Satan’s dominion. We’ll cover that more in a moment.
It’s important to understand the level at which Satan is operating today, as he is working to separate each of us from God, as he did Adam & Eve in the garden. Here’s an example from last week’s edition of Watchmen On The Wall, where we laid out Satan’s attack on women:
“…Here’s a quick example: In the world, we often hear “Listen to your heart!”
Sounds good at first, but what does scripture say? Let’s look at Jeremiah 17:9:
The heart is deceitful and wicked above all things, who can know it?
And now, Satan has taken the mask off completely. As we shared last week (Click Here To Read It), Satan is attacking women with a feverish intensity… because he wants to destroy the MOST SACRED PIECES OF GOD’S ORDER.
Why? Because Women:
Give Life
Nurture Youth
Anchor The Home
And Satan hates it.”
As we see in the news this week, Satan continues to accelerate his campaign of deceiving man:
“INTELLIGENT AI robots are coming - and they will have the ability to perform religious ceremonies and could even turn against humans, experts have warned.
As AI becomes more prominent in our day to day lives, it wasn’t going to be long before the worlds of religion and tech merged.
The thought of robot Gods and ChatGPT sermons terrifies some people - and rightly so, according to experts.
Wesley Wildman, Professor of Philosophy, Theology, and Ethics, and of Computing and Data Sciences at Boston University, told The Sun that he believes AI will soon be able to perform religious duties even better than human priests.
He said: ‘AIs will write better sermons than most preachers, give better bible studies than most teachers, create amazing music and visual art for use in services and communications that struggling religious groups don’t have to pay for.’
The likes of ChatGPT have already reportedly found their way into churches, writing thoughtful and authentic sermons on behalf of the priests.
And the listeners were none the wiser.
Wildman explained that AI will have the ability to change everything we know about relationships with spiritual advisers and religious figureheads.
He said: ‘It will be like having your own personal guru you can take with you anywhere.
‘You can confide in it, get advice from it, and learn to trust it to help you figure out complicated moral and spiritual situations.’
Many religious communities have already begun to incorporate robotics into their practices.
One example is the Catholic Church, which has endorsed the use of apps that facilitate the act of confession, according to Wildman.
He even says the Vatican is cautiously encouraging apps that can assist with a confession - but the sacrament must still be carried out person-to-person.
This is ‘partly for convenience, and partly because they’re [people] are trying to avoid human priests,’ Wildman said on the idea of confession apps.
He also believes that this bizarre wave of new AI will be able to simulate deceased relatives, religious leaders and spiritual advisers.”
Hard Stop. There’s a lot to digest here.
Let’s be clear: “AI” is a creation of man, period.
If we understand scripture, we understand that we were born into sin, our heart is deceitful and wicked (Jeremiah 17:9), and we have a sin nature.
And, we’ve created a tool with AI, in our own image, and the majority of people who create it are not believers in our one true God.
Then, that AI is worshipped… as a god.
That’s idolatry. And it grieves God. As he told us in in Exodus 32:8:
They are soon turned out of the way, which I commanded them: for they have made them a molten calf, and have worshipped it, and have offered thereto, saying, These be thy gods, O Israel, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt.
We’re also told to stay away from such things, in 1 John 5:21:
Little children, keep yourselves from idols, Amen.
And Romans 1:25-27, where we are told about the action of idolatry, and what it leads to:
25 Which turned the truth of God unto a lie, and worshipped and served the creature, forsaking the Creator which is blessed forever, Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up to vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature.
27 And likewise also the men left the natural use of the woman, and burned in their lust one toward another, and man with man wrought filthiness, and received in themselves such recompense of their error, as was meet.
Does that sound anything like the world today?
A quick message from our co-publishers, Julianna Ormond and RC Williams:
Who Will Answer The Call?
Would you consider, today, a paid subscription, or upgrading your free subscription to a $100 annual subscription to Watchmen On The Wall?
Or, would you consider a founding membership to accelerate this ministry? These memberships allow us to grow our 3 fold plan even faster.
This ministry is breaking new ground - we can now have meaningful conversations with people who are lost, in need, or are working to deepen their faith, by clearly and easily connecting scripture to news and events that they see everyday.
You can even give a subscription as a gift to someone.
We can accelerate the Great Commission.
But, we need your help.
Let’s continue with this piece of news, as the rabbit hole goes deeper, and gets much more bizarre:
“Rev. Christopher Benek, Pastor and Clergy Lead expert regarding AI, warns that it is our own ‘evil’ warping the technology which will send us down a path of doom.
He said: ‘I don't think we have a good example of virtuous AI at this point. I mean, almost every time you see AI, you see the evil that's in us come forth in it.’
‘And so it's really important that we're striving to continue to be better as people, because I think that's going to have direct consequences on what we're able to create and how we're able to create it.’
‘But I also think our evil is a limiting factor as to what we are able to create, and what we will create at some point.’
Realistic and powerful AI mixed with religion is nothing new though, there are plenty of Zoom-call sermons and apps that play prayers across a plethora of faiths.
One incredible example of this is the Mindar robot which lives in The Kodaji Temple in Kyoto, Japan.
Mindar is 6 feet 4 inches tall and has been preaching at the 400 year temple since 2019.
But the robot is no ordinary priest - it has been programmed to recite the sacred Heart Sutra, a popular mantra in Buddhism, through mechanics and AI.
The humanoid robot dons a silicone face, and its aluminium body is exposed to temple-goers who worship at the Kodaji Temple.
If you look closely, a camera lens stares out of its blank eyes as it recites the prayer and gazes out over the worshippers.
But Mindar is not alone, Poland also has their own Catholic priest named SanTo, and in China, an android monk called Xian’er recites mantas and offers guidance on matters of faith.”
Before we move on, let’s meet the Mindar robot:
And, the SanTo Robot:
Now you have man, believing he is God, expressing that belief with the creation of false idols that look, feel, and sound practical to those who are not in the word.
You’ll hear things like this, from those who will try to justify it to you:
“Come on, it’s the EXACT word you get in the bible…”
“It’s not like it’s TRYING to be God or anything. Stop being so crazy…”
“Don’t you feel better not being mislead?”
And that type of “justification” is the pride and idolatry that curses future generations. As we see in 2 Kings 17:17:
And they made their sons and their daughters pass through the fire, and used witchcraft and enchantments, yea, sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, to anger him.
And, we also the truth of what you get in building false idols, as we see in Psalm 115:4-5:
4 Their idols are silver and gold, even the work of men’s hands.
5 They have a mouth, and speak not: they have eyes, and see not.
Does that sound familiar? It should, you just saw this a minute ago:
“If you look closely, a camera lens stares out of its blank eyes as it recites the prayer and gazes out over the worshippers.”
The issues with those with the desire to be God is important to understand, but so is how they spread that message.
By using the power of media and entertainment, these people tell you exactly what they are going to do to you. This allows the false prophets to take the message and run with it.
If you are a Watchmen, THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO IS TO POINT THIS FALSE PROPHECY OUT.
Why? Because God warns us of the consequences:
In Colossians 2:8:
8 Beware lest there be any man that spoil you through philosophy, and vain deceit, through the traditions of men, according to the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
And in 2 Peter 2:1:
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you: which privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that hath bought them, and bring upon themselves swift damnation.
Which leads us to the ultimate example of millions of lost souls, who, without intervention, will be condemned, as told in 2 Timothy 4:3:
For the time will come when they will not suffer wholesome doctrine: but having their ears itching, shall after their own lusts get them an heap of teachers.
We are in a VERY DANGEROUS time. Satan has largely unmasked himself and operates openly, as he believes that he’s deceived enough people and nothing can be done to stop him.
As he’s always done, he underestimates the power of God, and those who serve him. As you have this conversation with people, share with them the simple and clear scripture that connects these dots. It may be the one thing that they hear that brings them to Christ.

WATCHMEN IN REVIEW, A LOOK BACK
In this edition of Watchmen On The Wall, we take a look back at our coverage of brain chips, created by Neuralink founder Elon Musk:
AN EXPLOSION OF KNOWLEDGE - AND A LACK OF KNOWLEDGE
There’s so much information out today, that people are drowning in it.
In this article, we see that and a desire to be God, in a very scary and prophetic way:
Elon Musk wants to put a computer chip in your brain. Well, maybe not in your brain, but in the brain of some human, somewhere.
Musk's neurotech startup, Neuralink, has been working toward implanting its skull-embedded brain chip in a human since it was founded in 2016. After years of testing on animal subjects, Musk announced in December that the company planned to initiate human trials within six months (though this wasn't the first time he'd said these trials were on the horizon).
Neuralink has spent over half a decade figuring out how to translate brain signals into digital outputs — imagine being able to move a cursor, send a text message, or type in a word processor with just a thought. While the initial focus is on medical use cases, such as helping paralyzed people communicate, Musk has aspired to take Neuralink's chips mainstream — to, as he's said, put a 'Fitbit in your skull.'
People have mixed opinions on Elon Musk and the work that he does.
Regardless, he is looked upon by many as god-like, which is idolatry.
Musk, along with others, also have a strange desire to alter the creation of God, which mocks him:
As stated in Galatians 6:7:
7 Be not deceived: God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
15 Therefore the Lord God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising early and sending: for he had compassion on his people, and on his habitation.
16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his Prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, and till there was no remedy.
Here’s more from the article:
“Because there's a reason to be cautious. After all, if it's easy to get addicted to your phone, just think how much more addicting it could be if it were wired directly into your brain.
Gilbert told me about one patient he had interviewed who developed a kind of decision paralysis, eventually feeling as if they couldn't go out or decide what to eat without first consulting the device that showed what was going on in their brain. 'There is nothing wrong with having a device that is completing a decision,’ Gilbert said, ‘but at the end, the device was kind of supplanting the person in the decision, kicking them out of the loop.'"
This paragraph is described in scripture in multiple places:
In Daniel 12:4:
4 But thou, O Daniel, [a]shut up the words, and seal the book [b]till the end of the time: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
And in Hosea 4:1:
1 Hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel: for the Lord [a]hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land.
And Hosea 4:6:
6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because [a]thou hast refused knowledge, I will also refuse thee that thou shalt be no Priest to me: and seeing [b]thou hast forgotten the Law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
And In Jeremiah 4:22:
22 For my people is foolish, they have not known me: they are foolish children, and have none understanding: [a]they are wise to do evil, but to do well they have no knowledge.
This article provides us with a powerful opportunity to share the gospel to the world and within mainstream conversations about what is really going on behind the curtains.
Even non-believers have concerns about being controlled. And being able to share these scriptures will help those that are lost, as well as those who are searching, to connect the dots to Jesus.
